Goal: Understand business, define the right sequence of hires, and align on vision.

  • Founder intake call (goals, runway, funding stage, product roadmap).

  • Audit of current team + gaps.

  • Deliverable: “First 10–20 Hires Blueprint” (roles, sequencing, and hiring rationale).

  • Comp + equity benchmarks for each role (Seed/Series A appropriate).


Phase 2 – Recruiting Infrastructure Setup (Week 2–4)

Goal: Build lightweight but scalable processes so founders don’t wing it.

  • Set up ATS or scrappy pipeline tracker

  • Interview scorecards + rubrics

  • Candidate pitch deck template (how to sell the vision)

  • Employer brand starter kit (careers page, LinkedIn positioning)


Phase 3 – Talent Intelligence Research (Ongoing)

Goal: Provide founders with market insights they can use for hiring + fundraising

  • Competitor talent maps (who competitors are hiring, org design, salaries)

  • Geo-expansion scans (where to find Eng, GTM, Ops talent)

  • Candidate calibration — build a “market-informed” target profile

    Deliverable: Talent Market Report (investor- and candidate-facing)


Phase 4 – Advisory & On-Call Support (Month-to-Month)

Goal: Be the founder’s fractional talent partner

  • Ongoing offer reviews (are they paying fairly? giving right equity?)

  • Investor deck support (team slides, hiring capacity)

  • “On-call” Q&A for founders who don’t have HR/People yet

    Deliverable: Monthly Hiring Strategy Brief
